What is a Telegram porn-ban?
A porn-ban is a Telegram restriction for adult/18+ content: the channel is hidden in the official iOS and Android apps (App Store / Google Play) and unavailable in several countries, while it opens on desktop and web. It is heavier than the soft Sensitive mark (which any client opens after an age confirmation) — a porn-ban actually cuts reach in mobile clients. isBanned detects it instantly.
How is the Sensitive (18+) mark different from a porn-ban?
Sensitive (18+) is not a ban but a soft interface restriction: media is shown blurred, and you just tap the content in any client and confirm you are 18 to reveal it. Unlike a porn-ban, it barely affects channel reach or visibility.
Why is my channel not showing in Telegram search?
Most likely a shadowban or search pessimization: the channel works by link but is hidden or down-ranked in search. Causes include inflated subscribers, spam or reports. A deep check in the bot reveals shadowban and search rank.
Can a channel ban or restriction be removed?
It depends on the type. An 18+/Sensitive mark is cleared by the user confirming their age; a porn-ban on an old channel is nearly impossible to remove; SCAM and ToS bans are appealed via Telegram support. isBanned shows the exact restriction type.
What is the difference between a fast and a deep check?
Fast returns the instant ban status (free on the website, up to 20 links per request via the API). Deep is a full MTProto check: subscribers, datacenter, age, shadowban and search pessimization. Deep is available in the bot and via the API.
